Melizena (born in London, England, 29 July 1973) is a British poet and novelist. She has published seventeen books of poetry and one novel, The Sorrow Brings Us All to Light (2005). Her poetry collections include The Piano Lover's World (2005), A Book of Secrets (2000), and The Secret Life of the Dead (1998). Her work has been translated into more than thirty languages
She was born to a British father and a Greek mother.
